SueAnn has lived in Mohave County for over 44 years. She had devoted her adult life to public service in her community. SueAnn was elected Mohave County Treasurer 2023. She was elected to Kingman City Council in 2019-2022. SueAnn has served as President of the Kingman Republican Women’s Club where she previously served as Secretary and 2nd Vice Chair. SueAnn was awarded 2018 “Woman of the Year” by Kingman Republican Women Club. In 2022 Ms. Mello was honored with the prestigious “Women making history” award in public service.
Ms. Mello was the Group Coordinator for Housing America. She taught Home Buyer Education Classes and would provide credit counseling. She was the acting underwriter for Rural Development sponsored loans. This experience was invaluable and rewarding to SueAnn as she considers it her calling to assist others in need, to speak up where there is injustice and to carry actions and ideas from concept to final disposition. SueAnn is a natural leader and finds joy in inspiring people.
SueAnn has served as an Ambassador for the Kingman Chamber of Commerce and has coordinated exceptional collections for Toys for Tots. She advocates, collects and donates to the Kingman Food Bank and Coyote Youth Programs on an ongoing basis. She has served as Board Member of The Villas Homeowner Association and has personally earned and donated over 14K for the Joan & Diana Mary Chan Run for Hospice race 2021 and 2022. SueAnn served on the WACOG Advisory Board 2019-2020, Kingman Parks & Recreation Commission Board as well as Airpark and Industrial Board commissioner 2022. Her latest endeavors include evaluating applicants and awarding scholarships to students as a member of the Scholarship Committee for local high schools and she is a proud graduate from Colorado River Leadership Class 2018. SueAnn through City Council has implemented a program that allows our local Veterans to ride Kart (bus) for free by having local citizens make donations for bus passes.
SueAnn has been the Executive Assistant to the Mohave County Treasurer for 9 years and has worked in the Treasury for over 16 years. It is a pleasure to be Mohave County Treasurer and serve the residents of the County she loves!
