Douglas Ryan Camacho

Douglas Camacho graduated from Brigham Young University, cum laude, in 1997. He graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2001 in the top third of his class. He became licensed to practice law in 2001. He practiced civil and criminal law in Bullhead City until 2002, when he joined the Mohave County Attorney’s Office. At the County Attorney’s office, he served as a prosecuting attorney until 2003. In late 2003, he started private practice in Branson, Missouri, where had a criminal and civil practice, including juvenile and family law. In 2005, he returned to the Mohave County Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted all level of felony offenses, including homicides and sex crimes. In 2015, he was appointed by the Honorable Charles Gurtler (retired) to be a Superior Court Commissioner, Judge Pro Tempore.  He was initially assigned to preside over juvenile, domestic relations, and civil cases.  In 2019, he was assigned to preside over criminal cases.  In addition to his assignment of criminal cases, he was also tasked to preside over guardianship, conservatorship, and mental health cases in 2023.  To date, he continues to preside over criminal and mental health cases. In 2025, he was appointed by Governor Katie Hobbs to preside over the newly created Division 8 as a Mohave County Superior Court Judge.

Doug has been involved in many civic activities, including serving in his church, leading family history efforts, and acting as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America.  In his free time, he enjoys hiking, reading, and spending quality time with his family.”
