Daniel Christian

Daniel Christian is pursuing the open judicial seat, Division 7, in the Mohave County Superior Court.  Daniel is a criminal trial attorney who was previously a tax attorney.

After graduating from Boise State University, Daniel became the first employee of a cloud-based startup in 2005.  Daniel obtained his law degree from Phoenix School of Law and was on Law Review where he focused on law and economics.  After law school, he obtained an LL.M. (a degree after a law degree) in taxation from University of Washington’s law school.  Daniel took two bar exams and became licensed in Arizona in 2011 and Idaho in 2012.

Daniel began his legal career at a tax law firm serving high-net-worth clients, including farmers, ranchers, and tech entrepreneurs, with business, estate, succession, and tax planning.  Next, he joined a firm focusing on cross-border tax planning for those with investments and businesses in both the US and Canada.  Later, Daniel joined the fifth largest accounting firm in the US.  He worked hard and was one of the most profitable employees in the group, which allowed him to join the international tax group transferring him to the Houston office.  After a year in Houston, he moved back to Arizona in June 2020 during the pandemic and joined the Mohave County Legal Defender’s Office.

Daniel went from working with the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury Regulations, foreign laws, international treaties, financial statements, and spreadsheets, to being in the courtroom almost every day.  Daniel handles all levels of criminal cases, as well as juvenile and mental health cases.  While he spends most of his time in the Superior Court in Kingman, he often spends two days a week in court in Lake Havasu City and occasionally in Bullhead City.  Daniel’s most rewarding opportunity was being an adjunct graduate professor at night in the Master of Accounting program at Grand Canyon University for three terms teaching Business Law and Ethics.

If elected, Daniel plans to continue to use his extreme work ethic and private sector experience on the bench.
